Lemon Love

I love anything lemon. I'm addicted. I can't get enough! From the sheer smell of them to the way they tickle your tongue--I'm hooked!

I'm on a quest to find the best lemon recipes. Whether they're your Grandma's famous lemon bars or your homemade lemon candles, I want your tips and recipes!

Help a girl out here...please? :)

(I'm currently drinking homemade lemonade. The sickness is THAT bad!)

You definitely have to make that ice cream flavor we talked about, maybe I can get my hands on an ice cream maker, or we can do it old school by rolling a can back and forth! lol

I am afraid this lemon love will spill over to me, so keep your lovey dovey citrus ideas to a minimum! haha

Mmm, I love lemon too! Sometimes I just cut one open to smell it because it makes me happy. I love this breakfast cake, but it's definitely a treat: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Glazed-Lemon-Bundt-Cake/Detail.aspx?prop31=2.

I haven't made it yet but I will this summer, at some point:

That's how I feel about cinnamon. Anything cinnamon I love. Love lemon too but mostly lemon meringue pie. I make the worst lemon bars in America although I really like them. Doesn't your mom make a yummy lemon refrigerator dessert?

I love my mom's lemon jello cake:
Lemon Jell-O Cake. It's moist and delicious!

1 pkg. lemon cake mix
3/4 c water
1 pkg. lemon Jell-O (small)
3/4 c oil (add last)
4 eggs

Bake in a wax-paper lined pan (greased paper) at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Turn out immediately upside down on cookie sheet or plate and prick cake all over with fork or tooth picks. Pour glaze over hot cake.

Glaze
Mix until no lumps: 2 c powdered sugar, juice of 1 lemon (add a little water if necessary--I like using 2 lemons instead). Have the glaze ready as soon as the cake is out. Glaze the cake as soon as it has been pricked.

Also, I love my grandma's lemon cake recipe. It's super fast and easy, and the pudding makes it so moist:

1 lemon cake mix
2 Tbsp dried milk powder
1 ¼ c water
1/3 c oil Mix together and put in greased jelly roll pan.
3 eggs Bake 12-20 min. at 350.

Frosting

1 small pkg. instant lemon pudding
1 c cold milk
1 small carton Cool Whip

Mix together pudding and milk according to pudding directions.
Then fold in Cool Whip.

Note: This recipe may be used with any other flavor cake also.
Just switch the pudding to match the cake flavor.
