I've had one surgery in my life... and it was also elective.
Excited at first? Absolutely. I wanted smaller boobs so that my back would stop hurting.
Scared after that? Absolutely. It's surgery. I'm afraid of needles, never mind the REST of it!
But, really, in the long run, this is fantastic. You're going to get through this like the champ that you are. All of it -- the 19 pounds before, the surgery itself, the recuperation. And then? Ahhhhh. You're going to feel great.
Go back to the excitement. Brush off the scared. It's all going to be terrific.

My cousin had the same surgery almost two years ago. She believes it was the best thing she ever did, sans all the other awesome things her family knows she did. In that, I wish you nothing but the best.
Mostly I just wanted to tell you I was thinking about you. I still have the BOM you gave me after our class ended. I treasure it. So, be safe. Take Care. KEEP WRITING.
